A300boy
We still have operational issues with the runway and any other long haul routes will have to wait until the B787 or similar types come along if Boeing manage to sort out the problems and the performance from shorter runways than present types need is accurate. The Shaheen had to depart from runway 14 most of the time to go direct even with a tail wind component, so as there are not too many A310s around any more scope is limited. We could do with the Dsa runway moving up here, with that runway length and the into wind orientation I am sure Florida and the Carribean would be soon on the cards but we have what we have. I hope the new boys find a way to increase the landing / take off distances at Leeds.
