DOTARS Lunacy
No doubt those of you that operate aircraft will be aware of the annual General Aviation Activity survey that one *must* fill out.
Presumably DOTARS get my contact information directly from the CASA register.
So I change address recently just before they go out in the mail.
The first one gets sent out and goes to my old address (and doesn't get a return to sender).
The second one goes out a month or so later to my old address (with no return to sender by the new owner of the property).
Third and final request comes out and gets passed onto me at my new address. It threatens penalties of 10 demerit points so presumably $1,1000 including GST plus pentalties for false declarations.
Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else? Surely they would update their addresses from the CASA register on a regular basis?
Do I have to inform Dotars when I change address?
