The train line exits the bramhope tunnel about 2km away and about 50m lower than the airport by my reckoning - that is 1:40 which should be fine. If you need to save the train a bit of strain, put the track in a cutting at the airport end and terminate it in the car park (which is a lot lower at least at the LS end). Probably 10m height saved at least that way.
Then run covered escalator / travelator to the terminal. That could also get rid of the daft little buses that always look too much hassle to bother catching to the LS car park (until you've walked halfway to the car and remembered that it is quite a long car park after all...).
