I reckon the answer to your question is supply and demand. There are more jobs available now than there are QUALIFIED M/E IFR Captains. All the M/E IFR companies (CHC, Bristow, AHPL, Jayrow, HA) need qualified pilots. Also heard a rumour that Esso may need more captains within the year as well.
The company that has the most attractive terms and conditions will fill their requirements first.
I'd say Bristow are in the lead at the moment thanks to their pilots being united and focused.
All eyes now on CHC and Jayrow to see if their pilots show the same resolve. Me thinks they will.
The other companies will ignore the marketplace at their own peril.
