There are two options at the moment.
These have both been put forward over the last year or two.

A spur from the Bramhope Tunnel.This is part of the Leeds Harrogate Line and is about 1 mile distance from the airport.
2
Run a spur from Guiseley using the Leeds,Bradford to Ilkley Line.
Up hill all the way and approx 2-4 miles.It as been suggested to use some of the new railway/tram units like in Germany.
The major stumbling block would be the cost of building the extension from either line.
