ADCJET
Whether approved or not, do you not find the promotion of this school somewhat scary?
I've not seen (though not *lloked for* any advertisemnets for this school. I've never heard of this school outside of PPRuNe. The only promotion for them I can find (in a simle/short search) is the website.
A telephone number and an unclear e-mail address (by that, I mean "no name")....unless the guy is called Mr. Dom Volo.
No address and just one telephone number for a personal Nextel cell phone that does not give any details when run through "Reverse lookup" - no fax?
Training page starts with block hours rates for aircraft rental of a single engine aircraft at $160 per hour - presumably solo. Is that a "deal"? I think not.
A twin is available at $300 an hour for 100 hours at block rates. I pay $220 an hour for a twin, ad hoc. That a deal? I think not.
The web site says they have PA44 Seminole and PA34 Seneca - they show thumbnail pictures of PA34 Seneca and BE76 Duchess - so not pictures of their own aircraft then? Why not? The single engine picture shows a skyhawk - not the advertised 150.
Any pictures or listings of the equipment (and "inop" stickers) of the individual aircraft that they can find for you? No!
Any clickable links to the aircraft? No!
Integrated training it says!! So full time, residential groundschool too - wow, at a company that does not appear to have an office that you can visit, nor a fax machine? Wonder where the classroom is, where are the instructors? What's their background and experience?
Page two - aircraft sales. The guy's a broker then? Buy aircraft at below value from the seller and sell it on to a buyer at above market value....or put the buyer directly in touch with the seller and hope for a commission/back hander from a grateful seller?
I assume the aircraft are not the property of adcjet or they would be available for doing turbine transition ratings on their fleet. No?
Page three: Charter. "We provide through our associates..." So, we don't actually *do* charters - we just pass the trip onto somebody else in return for a commission payment.
Citation and Learjet - pictures of Beech76, Seneca and Cessna 172.
Page four: Simulators. List of advanced training courses available at their offices in Colorado and Orlando? No - list of commercially available courses for anyone with the visa and TSA clearance (mentioned?) to complete at FlightSafety International or Simcom. Not adcjet.
Page five: Partnerships. I'll not tell you my name or address - but I would like you to give me money to call yourself a partner in my brokerage and referal business?
Six: Contact. Two non-descript e-mail links and no address for an integrated flight school with JAA accreditation?
I wouldn't trust this outfit - based on this information - with a phone call, never mind training funds.
I'll do some more homework and let you know shortly.
