Reds at Cosford.

Was at Cosford Airshow on Sunday enjoying the sonorous sounds of Merlin engines when suddenly nine red jets appeared. Within five minutes the airfield was blanketed with a dense fog of red, white and blue smoke. Surely this sort of blatant pollution cannot be tolerated. Are the RAF not familiar with the clean air act? Not only are these emissions exceedingly damaging to our life sustaining atmosphere but, with diesel now over £1.30 per litre, they are also very damaging to the poor tax payers pocket! If this appalling situation wasn't bad enough, there then took place what was called a 'role demonstration'. This involved some more jets with dirty tails wandering aimlessly around whilst a man on the other side of the airfield ran around frantically setting off big petrol bombs. More pollution caused, not to mention the millions of blades of grass that died just to entertain a few people.

I feel sure that our beloved Prime Minister will act soon to stop this sort of thing happening in the future.

PS I did rather enjoy the RAFs specialist airshow aerobatic machine but am a little puzzled why they named it after a proper combat aircraft!
