Red or white the reason any airline can get away with offering lower wages and conditions than before is because the demand to actually do the job is so high. Thousands of people line up for this job and are willing to take a cut to do it if even for a year or two. It is not a specialised job, it doesn't need a degree, and there are plenty of people wanting to do it.
It is true it is not the career it used to be, but it is the career you choose to make of it. At the end of the day, you don't like it then leave it.
And just to correct you red or white QCCA crew have the same transport entitlements that QF crew have. Taxi's are provided depending on the duty and the call out, I suggest you brush up on the whole EBA.
