soon there will be illegal immigrants working for 4 bucks and food for these airlines. Think about it and get a real job that pays what you deserve. IT IS NOT like the old days, prior to 2001. Layovers were longer, GOOD money, sconditions were better, swapping better etc....
The good days of flying is gone. If you really want to fly, the middle eastern airlines is the way to go. They have the cheap fuel, the money to pay its staff what they deserve and are expanding all over the place!!!
Here, u get 37k base plus allowances +equals MAX $55k/year that's less than $20 per hour after tax and a bus to get home before /after a flight, forget a cab as it is not entitled in the EBA8 for qcca crew.
It is NOT glam AT ALL, cleaning toilets and getting the worst duties onboard, even pax feel sorry for crew. Dealing with overbearing pax that pay nothing and want it all and dealing with their smelly babies thinking thay you are now a nanny as well. While the pax across the aisle wants the 30th gin+tonic and then vomits on you as you walk past. Then cleaning this....Layovers are good but short. Getting drunk is the main objective.
If u want to get to travel the world ,get an education or a well paid job and pay for a confirmed seat and ring that call button.....
