Those who already hold the ratings this course is designed to achieve are not eligible
I've never understood why they want ab-initios for these sponsorship deals. Why do that? If you're going to spend umpteen thousand pounds on someone, why not spend it on a person who has already proven capable of passing the exams/flight tests?
Is it a minimum of 135 hours for a CPL(H) now? Surely bunging 135 hours of additional training at someone who already has at least 135 can only turn out a better pilot?
Don't get me wrong, no sour grapes, I'm not thinking "why not me" (there are
lots of reasons why not me! :-) ) I just have a mild sense that explicitly precluding trained pilots can't be the most cost-effective way of doing things.
