US Flights
Given the current climate, I would be very surprised if a regular service to NYC were to start up within the foreseeable future.
Flyglobespan's Liverpool - NYC service failed miserably. AA's Newcastle - JFK service never even got off the ground. BA are pulling off MAN - JFK after 23 years. Even American's MAN - Chicago service is being cut back to 5 x weekly for the winter according to some on the MAN thread.
Sadly, these are not grounds for optimism although the airport is only doing its job in targetting such routes.
