Well they have more staff but they are stood not in uniform at Central search with visitor passes so i have been told. If this is correct i would find it shocking how a person without a full airside pass with security checks could be processing staff which have have been checked. (Obviously they will not be left unattended though).
If they are having problems this week, good luck for saturday thats all i can say, they must have advanced passenger figures from the airlines so why didn't they bring these new staff online before may 1st.
BmiBaby has allready gone to common check-in but not sure if this is due to cost cutting by the airline or a request by the airport due to lack of space.
Passengers are still leaving it late to go trough security and with these queues then no wonder theres delayes, the only way this could be rectified is if upstairs was made airside and all shops and amenities were airside, this would encourage passengers to come through earlier.
