ORIGINAL ENGINE WAS O-240 CONTI,THE PARTS FOR THIS ENGINE ARE HARD TO SOURCE, SO MANY OF THESE AIRCRAFT ARE FITTED WITH THE LESS POWERFULL O-200.
THE PROP WILL HAVE TO BE CHANGED IF YOU GO DOWN THIS ROAD.ALSO IF THE ENGINE IS TIME X THEN JUST RUN IT ON CONDITION AS LONG AS COMPRESSIONS ARE OK.THE CYLINDERS FROM A CESSENA 337 ARE THE SAME.THE STARTERS ARE A PROBLEM AREA FOR THESE ENGINES AS WELL.IT IS NOT JUST A MATTER OF CHANGING THE ENG YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE HOSES & MOUNTS AS WELL.IF IT WAS USED FOR AERO,S THEN THE RIVETS ON THE TAIL HAVE A TENDANCY TO WORK LOOSE AS WELL EVEN THOUGH THE SKINS ARE THICKER ON THE AREOBAT.£10K FOR 0-200 £15OO FOR HOSES MOUNTS & TO FIT.MINIMUM £2K FOR ANNUAL.CAN DO A SURVEY FOR YOU IF YOU WANT.SEND ME AN EMAIL & ILL GIVE YOU A CALL
