Just renewed my Class 2 medical under JAR for the first time. It took twenty minutes just to fill in the form. What point is there to filling in the "family history" column of nasty illnesses and conditions? Do you really know exactly what other members of your family have suffered from? As for admitting personal weekly alcohol intake, who is ever going to admit to an alcohol problem in writing to the CAA? What benefits will all this data make to flight safety?
