Interesting I agree, I would however disagree with one aspect of the above narrative. Attempting to return to a submerged aircraft should only be undertaken after first considering the risks involved. You have just escaped from a life threatening environment, do you really want to go back? That is a question for the individual; as someone who has been 'dunked' more than I would like, I feel that going back is asking for disaster.
