The 747-400 training environment is improving. The current fleet management and training management seem to want to emphasise the positives in a trainees performance rather than the negatives.
There are still a couple or three bad apples in the training system; one a very senior STC who is universally despised and, surprisingly two relatively new TCs, but we are hoping that our new brush in training will recognise the need to sweep them away.
CX good. In my years in CX I have seen an improvement in the training system. If you have been in the company less than three years you may not believe how bad it used to be.
CX bad. Most of the boys have not had a significant payrise in eight years. Some have not had one since '93.
Rosters on 400 can be brutal if you have an unlucky week.
