As a regular SLF, fortunately not very often on
VB and never on Pacific Blue I find this sort of stuff very un-professional .
I am sure all you gentlemen and ladies would agree that RPT or indeed any sort of flying is a serious business, this sort of stuff just seems out of place.
I recall one horrid red-eye out of Perth on
VB where the cabin crew started telling bad jokes and then the flight deck told them to "prepare for blast off". Not professional, not needed especially when all I wanted to do was sleep for a few hours, after watching the safety briefing of course........
