I was actually pleased to see someone else has thought about this, because I am an avid music listener in my car. However, when I started my flying lessons, I quickly discovered that the luxury of music wasn't going to be available while flying. Mainly because I was too darned busy to worry about listening to anything. Ironically, in your car, you can literally work on "autopilot" - something I'm beginning to discover you can't do in some light aircraft -even those fitted with one. I understand your longing for something other than silence in the cockpit especially since you're presumably long qualified and flying far and wide on your own sometimes. If you're not into silence, it can be pretty rough having to work through it, but as I'm discovering it's perhaps not a bad thing, as it lets you get used to engine tone if nothing else. I'm very into playing my music up full blast in my car, and when on a test drive for a new model last year, remarked about how strange the engine sounded. It was only later that I realised I never normally hear what the engine sounds like, as my music more than drowns it out

!! Don't really know I'd like that in a plane. So, I'm afraid, that like Fallen Eagle, I'd have to say leave the idea on the back seat and keep your ears peeled for all the other interesting noises a plane can make all on its own!
