There will be recruitment in the winter because the net fleet numbers will still increase next year. Also factor in that there are now a significant number of FO's looking to jump ship so expect the attrition rate to double in the coming months. The reason behind this is lack of commands. There will be about 100 commands next year. They already have 100 guys on the list waiting for them so those not currently on the list are at least 2 yrs away from promotion. Now that doesn't factor in command resignations which will also increase this year which may open up a few more spaces.
I'd say the vast majority of slots will be for type rated guys. Be also very careful what you wish for. There is a clear internal plan to degrade easyjet conditions to those suffered in Ryanair. You are also very likely to be based in Europe on a 'local' contract. If none of this bothers you, good luck.
