New Recruit
Hi, i am going to my local AFCO on friday to fill out my application form. I had originally wanted to join as a Weapons Systems Officer, but have been told that as i have a history of asthma i am only eligable for groundcrew (even though i have never had an attack and have a perfect lung capacity). I would like to join as an Intelligence Officer or Fighter Controller as they seem to be near to the pointy end. Are these jobs as good as they seem on the internet and in brochures? I have been warned by freinds in the forces that there may be a lot of gloss involved!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
