Dear Colleagues,
You will be aware that the Emirates Group has just announced a year of record results and in accordance with the
Profit Share Scheme, there will be a bonus equivalent to 14 weeks basic salary for all eligible employees. Record
results can only be achieved through the collective efforts of every individual within the group, so I would like to take
this opportunity to thank each one of you for your hard work and commitment.
In addition to the Emirates Profit Share Scheme, you will also be aware that each year we review the salary and
benefits of all Emirates staff to ensure that our reward structure recognizes their contribution and remains
competitive in the industry and that we are able to continue to attract and retain the highest quality staff. This year
we have made the following changes to our benefits package for Cabin Crew:

1 An Increment step
The salaries of all staff who were in employment as Cabin Crew on or before the
31

st December 2007 will be increased to the next step in their grade (to the maximum step
within the grade).
1st May 2008
2 An increase to Salary Scales for all grades
The starting point of all pay scales will be increased as below
Grade CC.06: Dhs 275 per month new minimum Dhs 5,515
Grade CC.05: Dhs 245 per month new minimum Dhs 4,825
Grade CC.04: Dhs 170 per month new minimum Dhs 4,225
Grade CC.03: Dhs 170 per month new minimum Dhs 4,225
Grade CC.02 Dhs 130 per month new minimum Dhs 3,915
Grade CC.01 Dhs 130 per month new minimum Dhs 3,915
These increases apply to the existing step values and hence all staff including those on the
maximum step will receive this increase in addition to the step increase as listed under point 1.

3 Flying Pay
The amount of flying pay paid per hour has been increased for all grades:
Grade CC.06: Dhs 87.00 per hour
Grade CC.05: Dhs 81.00 per hour
Grade CC.04: Dhs 65.50 per hour
Grade CC.03: Dhs 59.50 per hour
Grade CC.02 Dhs 53.50 per hour

The annual review of other allowances, such as the utilities allowance, is still in progress. Any changes to these will be
announced in June 2008 for implementation with effect from 1st July 2008.
