Worthwhile remembering that if you fail to meet the 90 day rule you can revalidate it not only by doing the necessary solo landings, but the CAA has also agreed that you may be accompanied by another PPL as long as you are sole manipulator of the controls - eminently sensible for safety reasons if you are well out of currency.
