The Excel formula would therefore be
=(ASIN(SIN((H20-G20)*PI()/180)*J20/D20)*180/PI())
Where:
H20 is the cell containing the wind direction
G20 is the cell containing the track required
J20 is the cell containing the windspeed
D20 is the TAS.
'cos the Excel trig functions work in radians.
