That incident was very local to me... the Cessna was hired from my base field.
My neighbour has recently retired from Tornado aircrew and admitted to me that the low flying crew avoid talking to Humberside LARS on a "political" basis since Finningley was closed against the RAF's wishes.
They now shoot down the Trent from Fenton to Waddington without communiacating to the newer civilian radar unit.
On saying that the Cessna driver was an idiot to be circling in the Trent Valley area at 800ft on a weekday... we all know the danger and avoid it!
