Well, allow me to be the first.

Yes, 14 weeks is very nice and very much appreciated. However, I and many of my fellow aviators ( both sides of the door) deserve nothing less considering the sacrifices we often make to achieve this. In fact, many dept's, not just flight crew, have worked their balls off under a wide ranging cost cutting program whilst the Airline expands. That is what profit share is all about. Employees take a slice of the Companies profits if it performs exceptionally well. It has.

For the likes of woodja51 and others, profit share should never be used as an excuse to reduce or effect decisions on a pay rise. Pay rises are based on market conditions and the Companies health. Whilst the latter may be fine, rampant inflation, weak dollar and shortage of experienced pilots would suggest that a decent pay rise is also a given. Failure to acknowledge this fact would dilute the whole argument of a 'profit share scheme'. This record bonus may in fact be our undoing in the long run.

I hope to be proved wrong.
