The way I heard it, the Hurricane suffered a brake failure while rolling out from a stream landing on the runway and ground looped. The Spitfire, landing a little way behind, was already tail down and thus unsighted.
The Hurri is has bent tail feathers, is minus the tail wheel and has a large prop sized bite out of the left wing towards the tip. The Spit collapsed one gear leg inwards, has a dent or two and also needs a new prop. I guess the Merlin is probably shockloaded too.
Unlucky that it happened, just glad it wasn't much much worse.
