Original plan was for 12 deliveries late 08, and in 09 to lose 10 737s but gain 36 A320s (net increase 26)
Maximum new plan is lose 5 737s this year, and 25 737s plus 15 GB next year.
Net off the deliveries of 12 this year and 36 next year, you get +7 (not +12) fleet increase this year (ignoring GB), and and -4 (not +26) next year.
2 health warnings:
a) AH said he hopes to achieve this via normal staff turnover
b) this is the FASTEST possible acft disposal
You can therefore see how new hires for this winter wont do much flying, and there is likely to be no recruitment for some time. But I cant see pilots being forced out of jobs.
