I must say if its a true this is all a bit too little too late, why has it taken this long for them to do this. As has been pointed out how can Baby ensure that the planes were full, i cant see any airline having agreed to those terms. In addition i thought BMI were operating two planes but the article quotes just one.
I will admit i think the way they withdrew was wrong but its now past news and the mgmt should concentrate on working with Globespan/RYR and looking at any other new potential operators (wishful thinking?!).
If we are to hold onto the LHR route i cant see how this would help at all unless they know something we dont i.e the route is definately going so now they have nothing to loose and i dont believe BMI Group operates out of any other Peel airport.
On a separate point how are the loads doing now LHR has moved mainly back onto the A319/320 - am on the 339 tomorrow but just wondered how it was going?
