You might have touched a nerve, agreed. But your posts suggest some level of ignorance on a few issues. Just one little remark:
My 4x4 here costs the same money as a VW Passat back home. Hardly a luxury car for our income bracket.
Having experienced the drivers around here, no sane brain would criticise any one to opt for a sturdy 4x4. It sort of moves away from a simple toy.
