Since I've managed to switch to flying home on Thursday evenings rather than Fridays I must say I've not noticed it any quieter, it's still like a madhouse!
I have also become severely peed at BA's groundstaff who now herd you into the gate ages before the plane is ready, which really is uncomfortable and looks like a health & safety breach if nothing else - those wee rooms aren't designed for 120 people
It makes their job a nightmare as well - the poor dispatcher has to squeeze through a few times going back and forward between the plane and the computers .... must be under orders to try and free up space in departure lounge
