It's pretty pathetic that the standard assumed to measure quality of life is the amount of toys one can accumulate using borrowed money.
Consumerism in Dubai is like any other diversion such as alcohol or the rampant bed-hopping...a way to numb the mind from the reality of the sandpit...
It's a city without a heart, a soul or a conscience. If you can overlook that and simply want another 4x4 then hey, it's the place for you!
