Last of the problems I'd have expected!!
I'm even more ignorant about floats than saxon ops, but (based on the recommended Boeing and Airbus ditching procedures

) with any significant swell (which will usually be perpendicular to the wind) it is preferable to land aligned with the swells... thus the crosswind.
I think...
