A "major" is a US term that is used to describe an airline that posts more than $1 billion in revenue in one financial year and operates aircraft with more than 100 seats.

Anyhoo, easys revenues as far as I can tell are somewhere in the 2 to 3 billion dollar mark, so that makes them a 'major' by that measure too.
