Ie dont use terms of the like “increase power a little bit”, they are looking for figures etc.
To split hairs, I would say that "a little bit" is perfect - as soon as you say 50 or 100 or 200 rpm or whatever, the student will look inside - not necessarily what you want at 100 feet :P
You'll find they are very deliberate with their instructor training when it comes to patter, building blocks, technique etc...
