I am NOT British, but as an ex Airforce pilot I think it is great to see the boys still get some enjoyment from training and flying while they can.......... beats the Airline routine
Bet you any cadet pilot with a friend / family that has a landing spot would like to drop in for a brag. I know our fling wing boys did it all the time. Lucky guys.
