Couldn't agree more lads. The News of the World had an "aviation specialist" stating how it was a waste of training hours, and no other low time pilot would get the left seat of a chinook. Fair point, but he's the only low hour pilot who is gonna be on the throne, far less the left seat!
I've heard of all sorts of things going on during training sorties, and frankly, if you can combine training with pleasure, go for it!
