Due to a recent incident here while someone on the ground was testing an ATC Transponder, we've now been restricted to testing at night (and certain altitudes), which is fine if you have a night shift, not so good when you've got to come to work at 4 in the morning and then do a full day's work afterwards...

I was wondering if anywhere else has any such restrictions or proceedures regarding this type of thing or are you allowed to do as you want as long as you tell ATC beforehand?
Please let me know and share any thoughts!
