Apparently the runway is being extended for safety reasons.
It will mean longer take off distances- so lowcosts- the answer is maybe.
Easyjet have started in Jersey but I don't think there is demand here.
Although they have held talks with Ronaldsway management and Easy's sticky points was the runway take off distance.
The Airport they claim the extention is due to EASA recomendations. It is not mandatory.
God knows what London City will do!
I have my doubts we actually need the extension at this time.
Just for the pontoon it will cost £800 per Manx household
