Senior Appointments Announced at Leeds Bradford International Airport
15 April 2008
Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) is delighted to announce its senior management team which is now in place.

The team, led by John Parkin, Chief Executive, is:

Peter Willis, Operations Director, is responsible for airport operations, customer service delivery, regulatory compliance and all aspects of passenger safety and security. Peter has a strong background in airport operations and air traffic control gained with the BAA.

Rob Memmott, Finance Director & Company Secretary is responsible for leading the financial management, business planning and IT strategy for the business. Rob joins us from Alfred McAlpine and also has previous airline industry experience with the leading ground handling organisation Servisair.

Tony Hallwood, Commercial & Aviation Development Director, will lead airline route development and the growth of commercial concessions, marketing, public relations and external affairs. Tony joins from Bristol International Airport where he was Aviation Development Director.

Carl Lapworth, Head of Engineering, Facilities & Projects, will lead on project management, infrastructure development, facilities and the airport’s development agenda. Carl also joins from Bristol International Airport where he was Director of Engineering.

Chief Executive of LBIA John Parkin says: “Leeds Bradford Airport is at a very exciting stage in its development with new services and significant investments including a major expansion of the terminal on our agenda. It is important that we have the very best people in place to deliver our growth plans. I am confident that the wealth of knowledge and experience we are announcing today provides us with the skills and leadership to deliver the airport’s full potential to the benefit of not only the airport and its shareholders, but the region as a whole.”
