PPL's don't die from not knowing the inside of a a INS unit, but plenty have been killed due to an inadequate grasp of the fundamental flying skills. In any case what
you as the instructor know is not the point. The mark of good instructing is imparting your knowledge and skill by teaching the right stuff at the right time. For a PPL that means concentrating on the theory and practice of fundamental flying skills.
