Well, things really ARE different around the world.... In SAS, charter means 10 hr days back and forth to a destination in the medditeranian with no night stop, while flying regular scheduled flights mean short days, wiht long nightstops in Paris, London, etc etc..
But not long ago we had separate charter companies and regular airlines. This boundary will dissapear, and airlines will be airlines, with some exceptions.
But what is best - god knows...? Maybe....?
