At the end of the last century (I love saying that...) when I PVR'd a mate of mine also took the long walk to civillianhood. He had a job offer in writing from a company but was politely told that he would have to wait the full 18 months his trade group were allocated.
A couple of weeks later he appealed, after taking advice from a local solicitor specialising in employment law. He was politely told by WO PSF that his appeal had been refused, at which he placed the solicitors card on the desk in front of him and said "Fair enough, I'm taking you to court". WO PSF then got back on the phone to Innsworth, spoke to them for a couple of minutes then said to my mate with a wide grin "How does 6 weeks grab you?"
Admittedly things may have changed now, but the question is how much are you prepared to push the system to get out in the time you want?
