If ryanair still have aircraft to place do you not think they will go daily
on Palma (none yet), Malaga (3 a week mid summer I think), daily Alicante (now 3 a week) and offer fares at £50 return to hurt the competition.
The punters will say that you very much skip baby & easy and where
does that leave them. easy still 3 based units (some chopping and
changing of routes) but probably have the resources to see it out to a point but do baby?
I am no fan of ryanair due to their aggressive nature but have you checked the CAA stats for Belfast from East Mids? Ryanair have taken 2000 out of Baby's Aldergrove operation in Feb and as much as I love baby will they be able to offer three flights a day for much longer.
True the FR's figures are not that good either but baby's 2000 pax have gone somewhere and FR's x thousand have come from somewhere (yes some will be speculative day trippers but not all) and it will be interesting to see who blinks first.

Malaga & Alicante with the three operators come mid summer.
