The Bid System
Before the Bid System was introduced we were paid a flat wage irrespective of how many hours we worked.
I have worked under an allocated roster system and a bid system.
The Bid System is far superior.
You are paid an hourly rate and there is a provision for overtime.
Get rid of the Bid System and you will set everyone back about twenty years.
Become part of it and enjoy its benefits.
Get an allocated roster and the associated wage structure and then you will really have something ot complain about.
BTW there is no buddy bidding with an allocted roster.
So if your partner flies you will never see them.
If your partner doesnt fly you will miss out on Christmas,Birthdays anniversaries weekend parties...no control over anything.
It is hoped that QCCA CC will see the reality of becoming part of the Bid System rather than attempting to dismantle it.
The contempt you (QFQCCA)have for current crew will be reciprocated by those that follow.
