they is no advice in the AIM nor the FARS regarding this--
And when enough people chime in with it you'll hear
"I said Standby--- Radio silence unless I ask you something!!!"
I keep my mouth shut regarding STBY--ever since I was yelled at for a while ago---Never again
Only if they tell me 'callsign--standby--readback
