The series was shot at RAF Lossiemouth and the director/producer was Paul Berriff. The film crew stayed with the flight for a year and filmed many headline callouts, the most famous being Piper Alpha, the N Sea oil rig which caught fire with tragic loss of life. Though they nearly missed that as they were in the Chinese Restaurant when the call came and only just made it back in time to board the second standby a/c
I don't think that a video/DVD as made of the series but I may be wrong.
