bat, have you visited Cabair?

The debate between the two is perpetual.

I would just say that the Cabair fleet is far more modern. Both the SE and ME work is carried out in G1000 equipped aircraft, except for the first few hours which are on PA28's. But then some experience of "steam" instruments is useful. For IR issue you need to demonstrate unusual attitude recoveries on dial instruments, so some experience is absolutely necessary.

However I think the glass cockpit environment is better training for the transfer to modern fleets.
