Hot Water ?

Pray tell, how can one be "burned" by Hot Water?

Call me picky, but I thought one was scalded by HW.

WW however gets scolded - bring out the Scold's Bridle (ancient medieval torture device) and hang 'im on a cross outside Waterside.
