At the risk of putting my head above the parapet again (not to mention severe thread drift):
RN Historic Flt - charity, funded entirely by donations, sponsorship etc. No public purse, flown and maintained by volunteer enthusiasts.
AAC Historic Flt - as above.
BBMF - publicly funded, flown and maintained by full-time Service (plus a few FTRS).
Dare I ask why?
