I don't think Manston and DTV are similar in any way. From what little I have seen of Manston in passing it does not appear to have very many commercial passenger flights but a very large private plane (balsa wood and beyond ) community.It is also a nightmare to access anywhere but the South East tip of England and the outskirts of south London by road. In contrast it is easier and quicker in most circumstances to service the Thames valley from Teesside than there.
I really think that Peel should be given a chance to but meat on the bones of their idea before being negative about their efforts.
Remember the glass should always be half full rather than half empty.
